Poniente is the best long European type (LET) to grow in protected culture conditions. The 12-13” fruit are formed on vigorous vines that set 2 fruit per node. Dark green, smooth skin, and sweet cucumber flavor will provide great consumer appeal. High Resistance to Scab. Intermediate resistance to Cucumber Mosaic Virus, Cucumber Vein Yellowing Virus, Cucumber Yellowing Stunting Disorder, and Powdery Mildew.
